Azimut Hotel Saint Petersburg is the tallest building in the historic center of the Northern capital of Russia. Located on the banks of the Fontanka River at the intersection of the two major urban highways - Lermontov and Riga Avenues, it lies just a 10-minute drive from Baltiysky Railway Station and a 20-minute drive from Pulkovo-1 Airport.
The hotel was built as the first high-rise building of St. Petersburg in 1965 and was known as Sovetskaya Hotel.
Today it offers accommodation in 1,037 rooms, 322 of which 322 belong to the new Smart Collection.
In 2014 the reconstruction of the hotel was completed, and the main lobby with a new, modern and stylish interior and an upgraded air conditioning system was opened.
