Part 1: Georgia

Day 1

Day 2: Tbilisi

  • City tour of Tbilisi: Walking in the downtown - visiting the oldest urban area of ​​Abanotubani (the place of natural sulfur baths), Tbilisi Cathedral synagogue (19th century), Tbilisi mosque (19th century), the city fortress Narikala (4th century), the Armenian church SurbGevork (14th century); passing the residence of the Patriarch of Georgia; visiting the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (Sameba), the oldest Anchiskhati Church (5th century), the Rezo Gabriadze Theatre and the “Tower Clock”, the “Peace Bridge”, the Metekhi Church (9th century), the Zion Cathedral (8th century), “Leghvtakhevi” waterfall, the bohemian district of “Marjanishvili”.
  • Dinner: experience the traditional Georgian cuisine, famous Georgian wines and enchanting performance of the Georgian folk dance group.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi 

Day 3 - Uplitsikhe-Mtskheta

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visiting Uplistsikhe – “Fortress of the Lord”, the ancient cave city on the bank of the Mtkvari River, represented a significant political, military, religious, and cultural center between the 6th century BC and 11th century AD. The building is a place of unique archaeological discoveries of the late Bronze Age.
  • Visiting Mtskheta: Mtskheta has been Georgia’s religious and cultural center since the Christianity has become the state religion in 4th century. It was the Capital of Georgia until the 5th century AD, before King Vakhtang Gorgasali moved the Capital to Tbilisi. The “Svetitskhoveli” Cathedral (4th century) in Mtskheta has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. “Svetitskhoveli” is the place for enthronization of Georgian patriarchs.
  • Visiting the “Jvari” Monastery (Monastery of the Cross) of 6th century on the hill right on top of the “Svetitskhoveli” with fascinating views. Visitors may enjoy the extraordinary panorama at the junction of Mtkvari and Aragvi Rivers.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 4 - Signagni

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Departure for the Kakheti region - the cradle of the Georgian winemaking
  • Stop at the Bodbe Monastry, a burial place of St. Nino of Cappadocia, who converted Georgia to Christianity in the 4th century.
  • Visiting Sighnaghi, the “city of love” and the ancient Royal town surrounded by fortress of 18th century with 23 towers.
  • Lunch in a traditional Georgian restaurant: you will experience the unique Kakhetian cuisine and taste variety of local wines.
  • Visiting the famous winery of “Khareba”. The master-class in making Georgian “churchkhela” – traditional candle-shaped sweet with the main ingredients of grape mustnuts, and flour, also baking bread and wine-tasting.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Part 2: Armenia

Day 5: Crossing the Armenian border – city of Dilijan - Transfer to hotel

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to the border with Armenia
  • Arrival at the Georgina-Armenian border. A representative of the “Mouzenidis Travel” transfers the group to the hotel by the sprinter/bus of “Mouzenidis Travel”.
  • Passing the Dilijan (spa-wellness center), a popular mountainous resort in Armenia, called “small-Switzerland” for its unique nature. The town is also remarkable by its historical sites, including the complex Old Dilijan of 19th century.
  • Dinner at a local restaurant
  • Departure for Yerevan
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Yerevan

Day 6: Erevan City tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Walking sight-seeing tour of Yerevan: Visiting the Square of Republic, famous by the vocal fountains; walking to the North avenue; Visiting of the building of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the monument of the great composer Aram Khachaturyan, the Swan Lake; Arno Babajanian monument, the France Square, Yerevan Cascade - the center of the modern art named after Gerard Cafesjian.
  • Visiting the famous Yerevan Cognac factory “ArArAt”, tasting the legendary Armenian cognac
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Yerevan

Day 7: Garni – Geghard

  • Breakfast at a hotel
  • Departure for Garni
  • Stop at Charents Arch with a spectacular view of the mountain Ararat: Visiting the fortress of Garni, located on top of the canyon of the river Azat - a sample of the Greco-Roman culture (the Hellenistic period) in Armenia; visiting Royal baths, the remnants of the royal palace and the winery.
  • Departure for the monastery of Geghard (est. 6th century), where the Holy Spear was kept before it was removed to the cathedral church Saint Entchmiadzin.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Yerevan

Day 8: Lake Sevan

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visiting the lake of Sevan, located at 2000 meters above the sea level surrounded by mountains. Sevan peninsula is famous for its monastic complex Sevanavank (VIII-IX centuries) and all-round view of Sevan. At the lake of Sevan locals and visitors may enjoy barbeques of whitefish, trout, crayfish, including local delicacy luleh-kebab of crayfish tails.
  • Lunch and lavash (local bread) baking master-class
  • Return to the hotel

Day 9: Local Bazaar and market in Yerevan

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visiting art market Vernissage and Local Bazaar: Visitors may buy hand-made souvenirs, chess and nardy (backgammon game set), ceramics, hand-made jewels, decorations, traditional musical instruments, carpets, paintings and plates, also fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, oriental sweets.
