Tour program (8 days)

Day 1

  • Arrival at the Tbilisi international airport
  • A company representative will meet you with a plate “Mouzenidis Travel”
  • Transfer from the airport to the hotel in Tbilisi
  • Check-in to the hotel (early check-in upon availability)
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi

Day 2:  Tbilisi

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • City tour of Tbilisi: Walking in the downtown - visiting the oldest urban area of ​​Abanotubani (the place of natural sulfur baths), Tbilisi Cathedral synagogue (19th century), Tbilisi mosque (19th century), the city fortress Narikala (4th century), the Armenian church SurbGevork (14th century); passing the residence of the Patriarch of Georgia; visiting the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (Sameba), the oldest Anchiskhati Church (5th century), the Rezo Gabriadze Theatre and the “Tower Clock”, the “Peace Bridge”, the Metekhi Church (9th century), the Zion Cathedral (8th century), “Leghvtakhevi” waterfall, the bohemian district of “Marjanishvili”.
  • Visiting the Holy Mountain of “Mtatsminda” (also known as Mamadaviti, after St. David Garedjeli of 5th century. In 19th century on a hill of the mountain was built a temple with a Pantheon. The pantheon has become a burial place for many prominent Georgians, including statesman Ilia Chavchavadze, first president Zviad Gamsakhurdia, Georgian historian and archaeologist Ekvtime Takaishvili, famous poet Vaja-Phavela, etc.
  • Visiting souvenir bazaar at “Dry Bridge”.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 3:  Mtskheta

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visiting Mtskheta: Mtskheta has been Georgia’s religious and cultural center since the Christianity has become the state religion in 4th century. It was the Capital of Georgia until the 5th century AD, before King Vakhtang Gorgasali moved the Capital to Tbilisi. The “Svetitskhoveli” Cathedral (4th century) in Mtskheta has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. “Svetitskhoveli” is the place for enthronization of Georgian patriarchs.
  • Visiting the “Jvari” Monastery (Monastery of the Cross) of 6th century on the hill right on top of the “Svetitskhoveli” with fascinating views. Visitors may enjoy the extraordinary panorama at the junction of Mtkvari and Aragvi Rivers.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 4  Uplistsikhe- Borjomi-Rabat

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visiting Uplistsikhe: “Fortress of the Lord”, the ancient cave city on the bank of the Mtkvari River, represented a significant political, military, religious, and cultural center between the 6th century BC and 11th century AD. The building is a place of unique archaeological discoveries of the late Bronze Age.
  • Visiting the largest nature reserve in Europe - Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park
  • Visiting the city of Borjomi - a wellness-resort famous for its mineral waters and thermal baths.
  • Visiting the Borjomi Park mineral springs, which the visitors may taste at the spot.
  • Transfer to Akhaltsikhe.
  • Visiting the medieval 16th century fortress “Rabat”, fully renovated in 2011.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 5:  Kakheti-Signagi- Tsinandali

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Trip to the city of Telavi, famous for its wines and beautiful architecture. The city was the capital of the Kakhetian kingdom of 11th century.
  • Visiting Tsinandali, former property of the famous Georgian poet Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, the General of the Russian Empire. The museum is built in a magnificent park. There is a wine cellar in the property with 16 thousand bottles of wine dated 19th-20th centuries. You will be offered a glass of Georgian wine while walking in the park.
  • Enjoying beautiful views of the “Alazani” Valley.
  • Lunch in a restaurant with stunning views of the “Alazani” Valley.
  • Visiting Sighnaghi, the “city of love” and the ancient Royal town surrounded by fortress of 18th century with 23 towers.
  • Return and overnight stay at the hotel in Tbilisi. 

Day 6: Tbilisi

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to the airport and departure.
