Blue Flag beaches, green mountains, archeological and religious treasures along with the well-developed tourist infrastructure compose Asprovalta's look.
A bit of history
The town’s history stretches back to the 16th century: it was built by monks, survived the Turkish domination, was abandoned and was settled again by Greek refugees in 1923.
Nowadays it’s a developed tourist resort offering facilities for perfect vacations.
Just a couple of kilometers away from Asprovalta there are the archeological spots known as Liotopi Routsheli and Argilos. Or you can pay your respect to the Church of St Georgios, where 19 holy relics and the icon of Saint Georgios are kept.
