Take a look at the plans of medieval Moscow, and you'll see the complex and sometimes confusing figure that its streets and alleys wove. Old Moscow was built according to the estate principle everyone settled wherever they liked, fencing their yards, building houses, planting gardens, erecting household buildings.Such estates could occupy entire neighborhoods.

The program of the tour includes visiting the following estates: Arkhangelsk, Kuskovo, Kolomenskoye, Tsaritsyno.

Arkhangelskoe is one of the most famous estates in Moscow. It was built in the 16th century, thanks to the activities of its successive owners, by the 19th century it had the reputation of a kind of cultural center, and is one of the most beautiful estates in Moscow.

Another famous estate in Moscow is Kolomenskoye. As early as the 14th century Kolomenskoye was the summer residence of Russian monarchs. In addition, on its territory once were located the most ancient human settlements in Moscow.

Tsaritsyno   was a potential imperial residence, which has almost never been used for its intended purpose.Tsaritsyno had a difficult fate. When it was almost completed by architect Bazhenov, Empress Catherine II didn't like it, so it was partially destroyed and built anew, by architect Kazakov.

The State Museum of Ceramics and Kuskovo estate   form a large museum complex in the south-east of Moscow. The picturesque 300-hectare park surrounds the architectural ensemble of the 18th century with an adjacent French garden with intricate flower beds, sculptures and ponds (it is the only one in Moscow).
