The museum is located at VDNKH under one of the famous monuments of Moscow - Monument to the Conquerors of the Space. Its height is 110 meters and the angle is 77 degrees. The Museum of Cosmonautics was erected in Moscow in honor of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite. And now the reconstricted museum and the adjacent Avenue of Heroes again opens its doors. The fund of Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics stores samples of space technology, personal belongings of astronauts, archival documents, films and photographs, and other space-related items.
The tour of the museum focuses on the historical events of Russian astronautics: the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, the first human spaceflight, the first exit into open space, etc.
During the tour in the museum space, you will see samples of space clothes, astronauts' food, as well as personal belongings and tools. At the end of tour everyone will be invited to the museum cinema hall to see a slide show. And true fans, and perhaps future astronauts, can wear the space suits and take a picture in them.
Open daily from 11:00 to 19:00 on Thursdays until 21:00, Monday - day off.
