A guided tour which includes a visit to the world-famous island of Spinalonga; small trip to the Gulf of Mirabello; a walk around the town of Agios Nikolaos and a dinner in a traditional seafood tavern.
The first stop is scheduled at the monastery of St. George (Selinari).
The location of the island of Spinalonga, which covers the approaches to the town of Elounda with rocky shores, affected its importance in history. Even the Venetians founded here one of their fortresses, surrounded by stone walls. However, today the island is better known as a leper colony, which ceased to exist only in the middle of the 20th century.
After a boat ride on a comfortable boat and tour of the medieval fortress of the island you will arrive at the town of Elounda - considered one of the most prestigious resorts in Crete. Here you will lunch at a seafood tavern where you will have the opportunity to appreciate the local cuisine.
Up next a walking tour of the small coastal town of Agios Nikolaos with its intricately intertwined streets and picturesque lake - Vouliagmeni.
In your spare time, you can walk to the shops, or relax on one of the beaches.
