Built in 1903 by famed Russian architect Alexander Ivanov, Hotel National has been an awe-inspiring historic landmark for more than a century. Spacious and elegant, 30 to 40-square-metre Studio Rooms welcome guests with an authentic cloakroom.

Entering the room, a royal palette of ruby red, deep blue, and emerald green is woven into the inspired fabrics that adorn the living and sleeping areas. Studio Rooms feature separate living and sleeping areas and boast views of either the hotel’s inner courtyard or Tverskaya Street, while the slightly smaller Studio Rooms overlook the iconic Kremlin, but do not feature a divided room space. A signature Luxury Collection bed—either one king- or two twin-sized—topped with plump pillows and a plush duvets beckons.

Kremlin Suite

Two-room 60- to 87-square-metre Kremlin Suites seduce with a singular collection of sparkling Bohemian glass chandeliers, original artwork, and enchanting antique furnishings.

Beginning in the separate living area—furnished with inviting armchairs and custom upholstered sofas—soft lighting and plush carpeting imbue a warm ambiance ideal for lingering with the morning newspaper or hosting a private business meeting. Presidential Suite

Entering our palatial Presidential Suites, guests are greeted by breathtaking panoramic Kremlin views along with evocative antiques—from the furniture to the decorative details.

Of our two more intimate suites, one features singular Karelian birch furniture, while an awe-inspiring ceiling fresco dating back to 1902 and an antique grand piano supplement the grandeur. Meanwhile, the other houses historic 19th-century furnishings from the celebrated P.N. Shmidt furniture factory, along with a precious porcelain set, mirror, clock, and impressive chandelier with distinctive fruit and flower ornaments, which dominate the living room. A marble-clad fireplace and evocative objects—vases, paintings, and lamps in Rococo style, crafted in Germany in the latter half of the 19th century—add to the enchanting mix.

Three larger Presidential Suites are primarily distinguished by their additional chambers. A small study with a 32-inch television and picturesque vistas of the Kremlin and Tverskaya Street provides an intimate space for a quiet moment or confidential conversation. A small adjacent bathroom with a shower and a sink ensures added convenience. Further, two of these suites boast a library stocked with classic Russian literature. All three captivating living areas comprise inviting armchairs and custom upholstered sofas border an antique table, while rare antiquities from the 19th century provide encapsulating surroundings for both leisure and business meetings below a Bohemian glass chandelier. In one suite, a 1908 Steinway piano—tuned and ready—supplements the refined ambiance.

In all suites, a 42-inch LCD flat screen television with a DVD player and a selection of films from the concierge offers entertainment, while complimentary wireless High Speed Internet Access takes care of out-of-the-office correspondence.
