Sea excursions

We would like to offer for your attention 3 routes for a yachting trip around the Chalkidiki peninsula including visits to the islands of the Northern Sporades (Skopelos, Alonnisos, Skantzura, Skiathos and others).

Starting your trip from the second finger of Chalkidiki – Sithonia – you will set off under sail towards amazingly beautiful islands. Cozy and comfortable anchor holds and well-maintained beaches with ice-white sand will bring you no less pleasure than a sea cruise.

Program No. 1: Sea trip around the Chalkidiki peninsula
4 days – sailing, 3 days – staying at the hotel. Duration of program: 1 week. The program includes a sea trip of 4-day duration around the 2nd and 3rd fingers of the Chalkidiki peninsula.

Day 1: After lunch – boarding at a picturesque gulf of the 2nd finger of Chalkidiki – Sithonia – and setting off towards its southern part. Swimming at the charming Stafilos Bay accessible only for yachts. Overnight stop at Sikia Bay situated at 10 km from the southern end of the peninsula and affording an excellent view of Mt. Athos. There are taverns at the bay offering fresh fish and delicacies.

Day 2: An excursion along the western coast of Mt. Athos where the 8 most important monasteries are located. You will also be able to see cells and caves. An overnight stop at the picturesque Ammouliani island situated in the north-western part of the Singitic Gulf, vis-à-vis the town of Ouranoupoli.

Day 3: Setting off towards the island of Diaporos, visiting Armenistis beach and Kalamitsi Bay. A pleasant evening in Porto Koufo where nature is pristine and preserves its wild beauty.

Day 4: Moving on towards the small islands off Tristinika Bay where you will be able to swim in a picturesque location. Overnight stop in the town of Neos Marmaras.

After the trip is finished, we propose that you stay at a hotel of your choice in Chalkidiki. (see the summer price catalogue for 2012)

Cost of the program (Euro/yacht):

Maximum accommodation – up to 6 people (3 two-person cabins with double beds).

The cost includes:

• Renting a yacht with a skipper (experience – 15 years)
• 4 overnight stays on board the yacht
• Yacht insurance (damage caused by the client is repaid by the client on the spot)
• Fuel
• Bed linen, blankets and towels
• Assistant (cleaning and servicing)
• Map with a marked route

The cost does not include:

• Board. Additional cost of full board (3 meals per day) - €35 per person per day, excluding drinks.
• Renting of fishing equipment and bait - €30 per day.
• Staying at a hotel of your choice (see the price catalogue for 2012).

Program No. 2: Sea trip around the Chalkidiki peninsula  

The cruise is of 7-day duration. Place of departure and arrival – a port on the Chalkidiki peninsula.

Day 1: NEOS MARMARAS – STAFILOS – ORMOS SIKIAS
Departure from the port of Neos Marmaras, a stopover at the town of Stafilos – the southernmost point of the Chalkidiki peninsula. Only small yachts can get to the coast. Overnight stop at Ormos Sikias Bay located at 10 km from the endpoint of Sithonia affording an amazing view of Mt. Athos. The bay numbers 5 beaches. You will have at your disposal 3 fish taverns with excellent fresh fish and a small mini-market.

Day 2: ORMOS SIKIAS – WESTERN COAST OF MT. ATHOS – AMMOULIANI ISLAND
A trip along the western coast of Mt. Athos, where the 8 most important monasteries are located. You will be able to see several caves at the foot of Mr. Athos. An overnight stop off the coast of the small island of Ammouliani situated between the Sithonia and Mt. Athos peninsulas, vis-à-vis the town of Ouranoupoli.

Day 3: AMMOULIANI – OURANOUPOLI - AMMOULIANI
A visit to the town of Ouranoupoli representing a border between Greece and the Monastic State. A swimming stopover on Spathies beach. Return to the island of Ammouliani. Overnight stay.

Day 4: AMMOULIANI – MALES - PYRGADIKIA
A visit to the village of Males representing a charming cape with a small island in the middle washed by the crustal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. An overnight stay at the charming village of Pyrgadikia.

Day 5: PYRGADIKIA - DIAPOROS
A trip to Diaporos – an island drowning in vegetation situated next to the village of Vourvourou. An overnight stay.

Day 6: DIAPOROS – ARMENISTIS – PORTO KOUFO
From Diaporos, we set off towards the Armenistis beach where we will stay for swimming and resting. An overnight stay in Porto Koufo, a natural picturesque port. The pristine and wild nature having preserved in this place has a truly striking beauty.

Day 7:PORTO KOUFO – SPALATHRONISIA - NEOS MARMARAS
We continue our journey and, on leaving Porto Koufo, head for the so called “Spalathronisia” islands situated close to the Chalkidiki peninsula. Their long coast line strikes one with its amazing natural beauty. A good-bye party in Neos Marmaras.

Day 8:DEPARTURE
Leaving for the Makedonia airport and departure.

Program No. 3: Individual cruise through the Northern Sporades islands

Day 1: NEOS MARMARAS – KYRA PANAGIA
A trip through the sea nature preserve of the Mediterranean seal. The islands of Kyra Panagia and Skatzura occupy the main part of this nature preserve. The bay of Kyra Panagia can accommodate only small yachts. There are no permanent residents here. The island belongs to the St Lavra Monastery, and its coastline is considered to be one of the most picturesque in the northern part of the Aegean Sea.

Day 2: KYRA PANAGIA – HRISI AMMOS (ALONISSOS) – STENI VALA (ALONISSOS)
Leaving Kyra Panagia for the island of Alonissos. A stopover at the village of Hrisi Ammos for swimming. An overnight stay at Steni Vala, a small village attracting fans of yachting from all over the world.

Day 3: STENI VALA – PERISTERA – PATITIRI (ALONISSOS)
We will leave the island of Alonissos and will head south, where we will visit the island of Peristera. A small island, which looks like a lake, is well protected from heavy weather. After that, our route will lead us to Patitiri representing one of the main ports of the island of Alonissos. A visit to the museum of the Mediterranean seal and a walk through the capital of the island situated on a mountain top. The safe location of the city has often saved the residents from pirate raids. The recently renovated “old city” fascinates visitors with its narrow streets and the unforgettable panoramic view. An overnight stay.

Day 4: PATITIRI – ASPRI AMMOS - SKOPELOS
Departure for Aspri Ammos, the most picturesque bay of the island of Skopelos, where pine trees lower their branches to the crystal clear waters of the emerald-blue sea. An overnight stay on the island of Skopelos. The houses built on the mountain slope of the city bearing the same name and the narrow streets resembling the streets of the Cyclades are filled with special light and warmth. Skopelos is one of the most beautiful cities of the Sporades.

Day 5: SKOPELOS – STAPHYLOS – AGNONTAS (SKOPELOS)
Our route takes us to Staphylos, to the tomb of king Stafilos, the son of Minos from Crete. An overnight stay at Agnontas, the southernmost port of the island of Skopelos.

Day 6: AGNONTAS – PANORMOS - SKIATHOS
After a visit to Agnontas, we leave for the village of Panormos with its coast drowning in vegetation. A stopover for swimming. Then, we head for the most populous and “vivid” island of the Sporades – Skiathos. An overnight stay.

Day 7: SKIATHOS – SPALATHRONISIA – NEOS MARMARAS
We leave Skiathos and sail to the so called Spalathronisia islands situated next to the Chalkidiki peninsula. An overnight stay in Neos Marmaras.

Day 8: DEPARTURE

The route can be modified or composed in accordance with the client’s wishes. In this case, the cost is mentioned per day of travel (see the table).

In case of cancelling the booking 14 days before the arrival of the clients, there is a penalty of 30% of the total cost of the tour. In case of cancellation 7 days before the arrival of the clients, the penalty amount to 100% of the cost of the tour. The sea trip can take place at any weather (gale force – under 6).
