Designed by the outstanding Greek architect Kapsambelis, inspired by the architecture of the monasteries on Mount Athos, awarded the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler award, the "Galini" villa was built in 1974 as the residence of the founder of Porto Carras, the Greek magnate shipowner Yannis Carras.
